How to export a HSBC statement
HSBC offers CSV downloads of recent transactions through Online Banking, and PDF statements through both the app and website.
- 1
Log in to HSBC Online Banking and open your current account.
- 2
Above the transaction list choose Download transactions (or the download arrow).
- 3
Select a range of up to 90 days and choose CSV / Spreadsheet.
- 4
Save the file (it's usually called TransHist.csv).
- 5
Upload it to Sift. Repeat for older periods if you want longer comparisons.
Good to know
- HSBC CSVs have Date, Description and Amount columns with money out as negative — no changes needed.
- In the app: Statements → choose a month → Download PDF also works.
